Reading Time: 4 minutes

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODYYYY 🤶🎄 I’ve been baking and hanging out with my family all day, and now I wanted to sit down and write for a bit. Since it’s Christmas Day, I decided to do a tag related to the most wonderful time of the year 🎶

To go along with the post, which is already up on my Portuguese channel, I decided to take some pictures with my new camera – a Christmas gift from myself, to myself 😁 I really like how they turned out, and I hope you will as well. Alright, let’s get started with the tag…

1. WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU LIKE TO FIND UNDER THE TREE THIS YEAR?

I would say that my wishlist is never-ending, but if I had to choose one specific book that I would love to receive, I would say Uprooted by Naomi Novik. I have a regular paperback edition, but have you seen the UK hardcover??? I’ve tried to buy it but it always sells out before I get a chance to, and now it’s out of print 😔 but I haven’t lost hope yet!! I might find it secondhand for a reasonable price 😋

Good news is I got my hands on the UK edition of Novik’s new book, Spinning Silver hehehe

2. WHAT IS THE BEST BOOK YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED FOR CHRISTMAS?

I don’t usually receive books, people tend to give me money to buy whatever books I want 😅 However, last week I received a lovely package in the mail that was sent to me by a fellow booktube friend. She kindly sent me a Christmas postcard, a gorgeous bookish pin, and a book by one of my favorite authors – Sara Blædel 😍

3. WHAT BOOK GIVES YOU ALL THE CHRISTMAS FEELS?

This is a given, right? Harry Potter is the ultimate Christmas read, and a series that I associate with the Fall & Winter seasons. I wish I had the time to read the whole series this Christmas but, unfortunately, that won’t be possible.

4. WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN ON READING TO PUT YOU IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT THIS YEAR?

Since my time is limited, I plan to read short things – and what better way to do that than to pick up a short story collection? I’ve had My True Love Gave to Me on my shelves for the longest time, but still haven’t picked it up so it seems perfect to do it now!

5. WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU READ THIS YEAR THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO THROW OUT WITH THE CHRISTMAS TREE AFTER THE HOLIDAYS?

Fortunately, this has been a pretty good year in terms of reading, I haven’t read many terrible books. However, there is one that I didn’t like and ended up DNF’ing because of that – Smith by Sam B. Miller. It was my first DNF review (and the only one so far), and you can read it here if you’re interested.

6. WHAT IS A BOOK FROM THIS YEAR THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLACE UNDER A FRIEND’S TREE?

For this one I had to go with, probably, my favorite book of the year: The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart by Holly Ringland. This is a beautiful story that is sure to touch everyone’s heart and that makes for a wonderful reading experience – not to mention the gorgeous cover and inside illustrations. Thus, I think it’s a perfect Christmas gift 😊

7. CHALLENGE: CREATE A STACK OF BOOKS IN WHICH THE SPINES ALTERNATE GREEN AND RED! SHARE THE TITLES.

❅ Cem Poemas Para Salvar a Nossa Vida – a poetry collection
❅ A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
❅ Ensina-me a Voar Sobre os Telhados by João Tordo
❅ The Snowman by Jo Nesbø
❅ The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
❅ All the Beautiful Lies by Peter Swanson

8. THE BEST WAY TO SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER IS SINGING LOUD FOR ALL TO HEAR. WHO DO YOU TAG?

I know Christmas is technically over today, but I still think this is a fun tag, so here are my ‘nominees’:

❅ Ashleigh – A Frolic Through Fiction
❅ Zuky – Book Bum
❅ Libby – Libby Reads
❅ Sophie – Beware of the Reader
❅ Nina – The Cozy Pages
❅ Kayla – Books & Blends

Once again, Merry Christmas everyone!! Whether or not you celebrate this holiday, I hope you had a wonderful day filled with good things ♡

Thank you for reading,
I’ll see you in my next post ♡
